A contemporary visual identity concept for the City Museum of Varaždin, created to bridge the museum’s rich historical heritage with a modern, future-oriented design expression.

The logo merges the initials GMV with subtle architectural references inspired by the museum’s most iconic buildings — Stari grad, and the Šermaž and Herzer palaces. This fusion reflects continuity, cultural preservation and the interconnected nature of all museum departments.

A distinctive orange color palette, referencing the rooftops of Varaždin’s historic architecture, adds warmth, energy and strong visual recognizability. Combined with a clean typographic system and contemporary minimalist forms, the identity positions the museum as both a guardian of tradition and a dynamic cultural institution.

The visual system includes redesigned logotype variations, expanded brand elements, color and typography guidelines, and promotional materials prepared for modern communication needs.
